February 2026 consolidated the Australian calendar: the inaugural Sydney Charter Show at Jones Bay ran back-to-back with the relocated Australian Superyacht Conference, and the program read like a command in-tray, charter legislation, importation, taxation, maritime labour, crew training and flag registration. The drafting workflows aboard read the same at anchor in the Whitsundays as off Palma: owner letters, incident reports, port paperwork and handover notes, each prepared for a review the master signs before it stands. What changes in the southern season is the paperwork they feed: the pleasure-craft reading, the charter structures the 2019 opening created, and a shore side of the triangle that mostly sits on the other side of the world.
